What to Expect
We’re truly excited to welcome you. From the moment you walk in, our focus is on you—your story, your comfort, and your path toward feeling better. Our mission is to listen deeply, understand what your body is communicating, and help you heal as efficiently and naturally as possible.
We’re honored that you’ve chosen us for your care and are committed to creating a calm, restorative experience that supports your well-being from the very first visit.
- Complete your new-patient paperwork ahead of time. You’ll receive a link to fill out the intake forms online—please submit these before your appointment so we can spend our time focused on you and your care.
- Eat something with protein 1–2 hours before your appointment. Moving energy can take a lot out of you, and having a light snack with protein (like yogurt, eggs, or nuts) will help you stay grounded and energized during and after your treatment.
- Hydrate. Good hydration supports the body’s healing process.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your arms and legs.
- Bring a cover sheet for any relevant labs or imaging. We don’t need full reports—just a one-page summary with key details is plenty.
- Arrive on time so you can settle in, relax, and begin your visit unhurried.
Your first visit is designed to be both thorough and calming.
1) Heartfelt Conversation
We’ll begin by talking about what brought you in—your health concerns, daily patterns, and wellness goals. Every symptom tells a story, and our job is to listen carefully so we can see the whole picture. Don’t be surprised if we ask questions that seem unrelated; they often reveal the underlying patterns that help guide your treatment.
2) Tongue & Pulse Check
We’ll look at your tongue and feel your pulses—either while you’re seated or once you’re lying comfortably on the table. These gentle, time-honored techniques give us insight into your body’s inner balance and energy flow, helping us tailor your treatment specifically to you.
3) Your First Treatment (50–90 minutes)
Once we’ve gathered what we need, you’ll relax on a comfortable treatment table while fine, sterile needles are placed at selected points. You may feel warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation as your body’s healing response begins. We may also use supportive therapies—like cupping, gua sha, electrotherapy, red light, moxa, or gentle heat—to enhance the effects and help you feel your best.
4) Aftercare & Follow-Up
When your session is complete, you’ll have a few quiet moments to re-ground. Many patients feel calm, light, or pleasantly tired afterward. We’ll review how you’re feeling, offer simple self-care suggestions, and discuss what to expect over the next few days.
- Take it easy for the rest of the day. Let your body integrate the treatment; gentle movement, rest, and hydration are ideal.
- Notice any changes in pain, sleep, mood, or digestion—these are helpful clues for your next visit.
